At first, so many ideas had came across my mind for our main character, Clara. She is a young and cheerful 12 year old girl who lives in the black and white world. She will be facing with numerous problems throughout the road she's taking but she does not waver. So I wanted the design to be somewhat childish and playful to suit the lightness of the game and were inspired from early game characters, simple design. Here is the character design below for Clara.

I presented the design to the other team member and we came into the same conclusion that the we will be using the first design as Clara.

Along with Clara, I had designed a few more characters that is going to appear in all the levels as well.

For our last level, Clara will have to face the problem in the house with her abusive father. But we did not want the story to be too aggressive so we decided to have Clara helping her mother instead. With him looking angry all the time and her being scared is suitable for the role they play.

And we also build Clara and some other characters up using clay as well. It was a good way to picture how she would look like if we were to build her for stop motion.

Game reviews are coming up, too! Most of them will be 2D platform games because they are classy and YES to gain some cool ideas on how it works for the sake of my first game as well.
