Bright has changed a lot after we had a few meetings. The original idea was to have a realistic photo in black and white as a background and for the main character to be colourful. We initially though of Bright as a puzzle game which the main character, Clara, has to face the problem throughout her week days and in order to pass the level, she has to solve the puzzle or the mini game first; for example, in the first level, she is on her way to school and meet a grumpy dog standing in front of the school gate and does not let her through. So she needs to explore and find something or an item to clear the level which we decided it to be a bone to give the grumpy dog.

It is simple enough for everyone to enjoy but we changed and added more details in. We got the idea of putting another sad boy on the way and let Clara talks to him. By that, she has to choose weather help or ignore. This will convey the idea of empathy to the player as well. We also added more dialogue into the game but since this topic is very sensitive, we decided to ask for the advice from our client who is currently doing the research on preventing domestic violence to get a better conversation dialogue that will not likely to be offence to anyone.

We also wanted the surrounding to change its colour as Clara making the right decision as well but unfortunately we did not have enough time so here is the demonstration of how it looks like.
