Bright! : After Meeting

After the group meeting, we decided to change from actually cutting cardboard to just paint them on photoshop instead to reduce both time and cost.

We got inspired by the art style from 'The Behemoth', an independent console game developer and publisher headquartered in San Diego, California. The cardboard background is used in the game called BattleBlock Theater which we thought it suits well in our game.

Here is the result of combining this style to our game character which we satisfied with the mood it provides to our game.

We later on changed the initial plan for the background as well. Instead of using actual photos, we painted the houses and environment and it worked better than we had expected. I designed the background for the first level and arrange the painting to provide the depth of the field.

Hellooo, I am Pae, and now working on my first Gaming project which I will be sharing some of my class work in here so feel free to take a look around the site!

Game reviews are coming up, too! Most of them will be 2D platform games because they are classy and YES to gain some cool ideas on how it works for the sake of my first game as well.

Success! Message received.
